JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead our sales team in driving business growth across our data centre cooling and critical infrastructure portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in technical B2B sales, preferably in the data centre, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing), or critical infrastructure sectors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Sales Engineers to meet and exceed sales targets
- Oversee the sales team focused on front-line Sales, tenders, and Solution development
- Conduct role calls with the sales team for planning, workload balancing, and strategic alignment
- Implement quarterly performance reviews with individual sales team members
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical excellence, and customer-centricity
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company business goals, particularly in liquid cooling and critical infrastructure solutions
- Achieve annual Minimum Performance Index GP targets for the sales team
- Strategise with Maintenance Services (MS) business type and key accounts as a base business profile
- Implement key account management strategies for major clients and vertical markets
- Collaborate with Solution team to create competitive technical proposals
- Ensure accurate and competitive pricing strategies for different business types
- Generate and analyse sales reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with major accounts and key decision-makers
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related technical field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in technical sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets in B2B technical environments
- Deep understanding of data centre infrastructure, cooling solutions, or related technical products
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical solutions to diverse stakeholders
PREFERRED
- Experience in liquid cooling, HVAC, electrical systems, or data centre infrastructure
- Knowledge of recurring revenue models
- Familiarity with tender processes and large-scale project bidding
- Understanding of data centre trends, technologies, and industry standards
- Professional certifications in sales management, data centre technologies, or related fields
