A consulting firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive growth in the international wood trading sector. With a minimum of 10 years in the industry and a deep understanding of market dynamics, the ideal candidate will manage a team, establish key international relationships, and ensure compliance with import/export regulations. Proficiency in Japanese and Korean is essential for effective communication with headquarters and clients. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and frequent international travel.
Educational Background: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economy, Commerce or a related field.
Relevant Industry Experience: Minimum of 10 years' experience in wood & building material trading industry, with strong familiarity in regional and international market dynamics.
Sales & Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of experience in international sales and sales team management, with a proven track record in driving revenue growth, expanding market shares and developing high-performing teams.
Leadership & Management Competencies: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop sales teams. Strong skills in strategic planning, performance management, stakeholder engagement and cross-border coordination.
Language Proficiency:
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse international stakeholders.
Business Travel Requirements: Ability to travel internationally as required for client meetings, market visits and business development activities, at least once per month.
