Job summary

A leading processing company in Singapore is seeking an experienced professional to liaise with the Regional Sales Team and travel throughout Southeast Asia to connect with customers. The role involves establishing new client relationships, managing customer requirements, and providing pre-sales technical assistance. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree, over 20 years of experience in a hygienic processing environment, and fluency in English, with preference given to those understanding Japanese culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in a hygienic processing environment in a similar capacity.
  • Experience in the food, beverage, or dairy engineering industry is preferred.
  • Experience in reviewing P+IDs.
  • Experience in technical sales or a technical background with a desire to move into technical sales is preferred.
  • Good fluency in spoken and written English; ability to build relationships with customers.

Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Liaise with Regional Sales Team from the region
  • Travel throughout Southeast Asia to meet customers
  • Search and establish contact with new clients who can benefit from the service and maintain strong relationships with clients
  • Make technical/application presentations; provide pre‑sales technical assistance and application education
  • Able to articulate technology and application to both business and technical users
  • Manage and interpret customer requirements, and convey them accurately to relevant teams
  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFQs
  • Formulate process flow diagram, general arrangement drawing and plant layout
  • Formulate tender proposals and prepare cost calculations
  • Formulate tender and contract terms with the region’s Solution Sales team
  • Administer and maintain sales database(s) and project approval database
  • Support trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events
  • Contribute to identifying gaps in business and participate in strategy development for the region
Requirements
  • Degree/diploma qualified in a relevant discipline, ideally chemical or mechanical engineering
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in a hygienic processing environment in a similar capacity
  • Experience in the food, beverage, or dairy engineering industry (preferred)
  • Experience in reviewing P+IDs
  • Experience in technical sales or a technical background with a desire to move into technical sales (preferred)
  • Self‑motivated and pro‑active in managing one’s work plans, tasks, and customer visits
  • Ability to travel regionally
  • Good fluency in spoken and written English; ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders regionally
  • Understanding of Japanese culture; Japanese speaking candidates will be preferred
