Job description

The trainee will assist in supporting and enhancing the sales operations of Asam Tree Café, Bakery & Restaurant by helping to implement effective sales strategies, strengthen customer relationships, and contribute to overall business growth through proactive sales and marketing activities.

Specific Responsibilities:
  1. Support the planning and execution of sales activities to understand practical sales operations.
  2. Observe and assist in tracking daily sales performance, providing input and suggestions where appropriate.
  3. Assist in building and maintaining relationships with customers and key accounts.
  4. Provide support to colleagues in carrying out their duties and learn about effective workplace collaboration.
  5. Assist in handling customer inquiries and feedback to ensure a positive customer experience.
  6. Support in the design and implementation of promotions, loyalty programs, and upselling initiatives.
  7. Assist in preparing monthly reports and summaries for management review.
  8. Collaborate with the Director to gain insights into how sales and promotional efforts are aligned.
  9. Conduct basic competitor research to understand market trends and identify potential opportunities or challenges.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
  1. Develop understanding of sales management processes and basic performance tracking methods.
  2. Learn effective customer service practices and relationship management techniques.
  3. Gain knowledge of F&B sales operations and product pricing considerations.
  4. Learn how to analyze sales data and assist in preparing summary reports.
  5. Acquire familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  6. Strengthen communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in a professional environment.
  7. Gain exposure to digital and in-store sales promotion techniques.
  8. Learn the fundamentals of leadership and teamwork in supporting colleagues.
  9. Understand inventory coordination and order management procedures.

Duration of Traineeship/Attachment Offered - 6 months

Mature Mid Career Individuals - $3,800
