Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Sales Engineer to join us. The ideal candidate will have experience in marine electrical/mechanical systems, strong client servicing skills, and exposure to Jurong Island’s industrial and marine environment. You will be responsible for promoting and selling our technical services, managing client relationships and driving project coordination to ensure seamless service delivery.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Promote and sell the company’s technical services to marine vessel owners, shipyards and plant operators.
  • Plan and deliver technical presentations to existing and prospective clients.
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries, prepare quotations and manage the sales process from enquiry to order confirmation.
  • Conduct site visits, cold calls and client follow-ups to build strong business relationships and identify new opportunities.
  • Work closely with the operations and technical teams to coordinate service delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical clarifications, gather project requirements and align client expectations.
  • Manage turnkey or ad-hoc projects including on-site coordination and client interfacing.
  • Monitor and track job progress, maintain documentation and support job costing and reporting.
  • Keep abreast of the company’s services, market trends and competitors to effectively position our offerings.
  • Participate in job safety assessments and adhere to marine industry safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical or Marine Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years of technical sales experience in the marine, MRO or offshore sector.
Preferred Skills
  • Prior experience or familiarity with Jurong Island work sites is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Strong project coordination and problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word).
