Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Performance & Operational Management
  • Drive overalldaily sales performance, ensuring sales targets and KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Monitor customer traffic, sales trends, and purchasing patterns to adjust sales strategies accordingly.

  • Ensure the store maintainshigh standards of cleanliness, product display, and customer serviceat all times.

  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally, and ensure frontline staff deliver excellent service.

2. Inventory Control & Purchasing
  • Conduct regularstock-taking, inventory checks, and variance investigations.

  • Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving items, and adjust purchase quantities as needed.

  • Responsible forsourcing, negotiating, and purchasing inventory, ensuring sufficient stock levels without over-stocking.

  • Maintain accurate stock records and ensure compliance with store inventory procedures.

3. Staff Supervision & Training
  • Supervise the sales team, monitor performance, and ensure work discipline and productivity.

  • Assist in preparing staff duty rosters, ensuring sufficient manpower for daily operations.

  • Train and coach staff on customer service standards, product knowledge, and store operating procedures.

  • Step in to support store operations when staff are absent or during manpower shortages.

4. Compliance & Reporting
  • Ensure store operations comply with company policies, safety guidelines, and operational SOPs.

  • Prepare daily/weekly sales reports, inventory updates, and incident reports for management review.

  • Identify operational issues and propose corrective actions to improve store efficiency and profitability.

5. Store Maintenance & Safety
  • Oversee the condition of store equipment, refrigeration units, and fixtures; report issues promptly.

  • Ensure safe storage and handling of goods, especially heavy items, per workplace safety guidelines.

Job Requirements
  1. Minimum 2 years of retail or minimart supervisory experience(preferably in dormitory or high-volume retail setting).

  2. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  3. Able to workweekends, public holidays, and long hourswhen required.

  4. Physically demanding — role requires long hours of standing and involvement in daily operations.

  5. Good understanding of sales strategies, inventory management, and retail operations.

  6. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and make operational decisions confidently.
