Job summary

A leading recruitment firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Sales Executive to generate new business opportunities and manage client relationships in the plastic industry. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of relevant experience, strong customer service skills, and established connections within the industry. Occasional travel to Batam and JB is required. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Generate new business development opportunities while maintaining relationships with current customers.
  • Proactively market products and strategies to create business opportunities.
  • Efficiently manage daily tasks for current clients, ensuring excellent service delivery.
  • Oversee inventory control of trading materials.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide exceptional sales support.
  • Prepare quotations and collaborate with customers on pricing matters.
  • Follow up on payment issues with clients to ensure timely collections.
  • Identify and source suitable suppliers for purchasing trading materials.
  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure product quality meets customer requirements.
  • Review purchase orders from customers and suppliers, confirming trade terms, payment terms, pricing, and lead times.
  • Address customer complaints promptly to enhance satisfaction.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and business development experience in commodity and engineering plastics.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
  • Basic knowledge of the plastic distribution business model and a strong technical understanding of industry practices.
  • Established connections with business partners in the plastic industry.
  • Willingness to travel to Batam and JB initially, with potential travel to emerging markets as the business expands.
