About the Role
Support sales of explosion-protected lighting, marine-grade wiring, valves/instruments as well as HVAC+R, gas-analysis systems, ultrasonics, water makers, and oil filtration units to marine and offshore clients (yards, shipowners, integrators).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage technical sales cycles from prospecting to closing for products such as EX lights, cable glands, pressure sensors, gas analyzers, ultrasonic antifouling systems, RO water makers, and oil filtration units.
 - Conduct on-site surveys at marine/offshore facilities and platforms—e.g., vessel yards in Tuas or shipyards abroad.
 - Develop tailored solutions: system proposals, product selection, hazardous area classifications, certifications (DNV, ABS, IMO, Marine CEMS, etc.).
 - Facilitate technical demos, arrange for trial installations, and gather customer feedback.
 - Collaborate with marine engineering teams to develop ship retrofit packages or turn-key projects.
 - Provide post-sales technical support and coordinate with service partners.
 - Monitor market developments and maintain competitive intelligence.
 
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Marine, Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering (fresh grads welcome).
 - Own transport (to reach marine/offshore facilities like Tuas, Jurong, or further).
 - Interest in ships, offshore engineering, instrumentation, sustainable systems.
 - Excellent presentation skills, technical aptitude, problem-solving.
 - Versatile and proactive—able to support site visits, demos, coordination, and customer engagement.
