Our client is a Japanese-listed trading company. They are seeking a motivated and proactive Sales Executive (Chemicals Trading, Japanese speaking) to drive the expansion of our plastics resins trading business and develop new market opportunities. This role covers Southeast Asia as well as international regions including Europe, America, the Middle East, and India.
You will be reporting to a Manager.
Responsibilities
- Develop and expand the plastics resins trading portfolio, identifying and securing new business opportunities globally.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with both suppliers and customers.
- Act as an agent for manufacturers, providing product knowledge and recommending appropriate materials and solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
- Oversee credit limits, ensuring timely management of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Monitor inventory levels, and coordinate shipping arrangements and schedules efficiently.

Qualifications
- Must:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Business, Marketing, or similar
- At least 1-2 years of sales or trading experience, and knowledge or hands-on experience in chemical/plastics resin
- Strong initiative, self-motivation, and a proactive learning attitude.
- Must be willing to travel regionally (Asia and Oceania region) on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, including but not limited to Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh
- High proficiency in English and Japanese (JLPT N1) is required to liaise effectively with English-speaking and Japanese-speaking suppliers and regional counterparts.
