Sales Engineer (ACMV/HVAC Service Maintenance)
Job Responsibilities
- Promote ACMV maintenance contracts to existing and new customers
- Identify sales opportunities for service, repair, replacement, and minor upgrade works
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and service agreements
- Conduct site visits to assess ACMV systems and maintenance requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with building owners, FM teams, and consultants
- Coordinate with Operations and Service teams to ensure smooth service delivery
- Achieve assigned sales targets and prepare regular sales reports
- Support contract renewals and customer retention initiatives
Job Requirements
- Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of service sales experience in ACMV / HVAC industry
- Familiar with ACMV systems (Chillers, AHU, FCU, VRV/VRF, ventilation systems)
- Good understanding of maintenance contract pricing and service scope
- Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and result-driven
Sales Engineer (Retrofit - ACMV/HVAC)
Job Responsibilities
- Perform HVAC project design and application engineering, including equipment selection and sizing, in accordance with customer specifications
- Understand and review HVAC/ACMV project scope for tendering and retrofit opportunities
- Conduct site surveys, site measurements, and attend pre-bid walkthroughs as required
- Support tender clarifications, presentations, and interviews when necessary
- Work closely with the Manager to develop project plans, budgets, and schedules
- Coordinate with Sales / Customer Consultants and internal stakeholders on project proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and contractual documentation
- Support sales teams in identifying and following up on service and retrofit job opportunities
- Track project progress and prepare regular status and cost reports for management
- Ensure projects are delivered within approved budget, timeline, and technical specifications
- Identify and implement cost optimisation initiatives while maintaining quality and productivity
- Source, liaise, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors on pricing and technical requirements
- Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare costing sheets and estimates
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BQ) and maintain estimating logs and unit cost databases
- Maintain good working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors
- Coordinate with controls/BMS teams for HVAC controls and system integration, where applicable
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Research and recommend new HVAC technologies and solutions to support project development
- Perform other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in the HVAC / ACMV industry
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems (e.g. Chillers, AHU, FCU, VRV/VRF, ventilation systems)
- Experience in HVAC retrofit, project engineering, or application engineering
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents
- Familiar with HVAC tendering, costing, and BOQ preparation
- Good coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skill
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks concurrently
