The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer (Product Specialist) to join our team.

The successful candidate will manage and grow our product portfolio.

This role is ideal for individuals with a solid background in scientific instruments or materials characterisation equipment, and who enjoy a mix of technical product understanding and customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and drive sales activities for assigned product lines
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers in academia, research institutes, and industry
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions
  • Develop sales strategies to meet revenue targets
  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and tender submissions
  • Work closely with suppliers for training, product updates, and support
  • Provide post-sales follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related disciplines
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in scientific instruments. Candidates with materials testing, characterization and analysis equipment sales will be an added advantage
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a valid Class 3 driving licence and preferably own a car (transport allowance/claims provided)
