Our Client is a global leader in financial services benchmarking and market intelligence and is looking for a Business Development Director, responsible for leading the sales effort across a diverse portfolio of products and practice areas, with a focus on the financial markets industry in Asia. This role requires strategic vision, deep client engagement, and the ability to drive business growth through innovative solutions and strong market insight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive strategic insight to anticipate market changes and ensure product relevance.
  • Develop and execute quarterly sales plans, fostering a high-performance team culture.
  • Build and nurture deep relationships with C-level executives across target segments.
  • Match service offerings to client needs, influencing and negotiating to create demand and stimulate revenue growth.
  • Lead the regional sales cycle: assess target segments, prospect, build pipeline, and close deals.
  • Present services and deliver client debriefs, ensuring clear communication of value.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to drive continual product innovation and development.
  • Communicate market insights to product teams to inform strategy and maintain competitive edge.
  • Utilize Salesforce and other CRM tools to manage sales activities and reporting.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience providing solutions to the financial markets industry in Asia.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of work experience in consultancy, research, data services, vendor systems, or buy/sell side institutions, with broad exposure to the full trade lifecycle.
  • Demonstrable track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Established network in financial services, including operations, technology, digital, front office sales/trading, and asset management.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong interest in product development.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Salesforce is beneficial.
