A leading industrial firm is seeking a dynamic sales leader in Singapore to drive business growth. You will identify new opportunities, coach the sales team, and implement strategic plans to exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in sales and team management in the HVAC or industrial sectors. Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills are essential. This role involves regional travel and collaborating closely with internal teams to enhance market presence.
You will play a crucial role in driving our growth for the business. The person in this role will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities within their assigned accounts/countries, also lead and coach the sales team. You will also work on building strong relationships with decision-makers. This role requires strategic planning, team leadership, and collaboration with internal teams to achieve regional sales targets and expand market presence.
Sales Performance: Take ownership of booking number and revenue targets (ownself and team), driving overall sales performance, and expanding our customer base across Asia.
Business Growth: Expand the customer base by identifying business opportunities and cultivating relationships within key accounts, ensuring engagement and satisfaction.
Strategic Planning: Implement strategic sales plan aligned with the Managing Director’s vision, with a specific emphasis on the “industrial segment” within targeted countries. Formulate and implement a regional sales strategy aimed at achieving revenue goals and fostering market expansion.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team, setting clear individual and team performance targets, fostering a responsive, customer-centric culture to support the company’s growth.
Partnerships: Identify and appoint new partners (Distributors/Enterprise Account/ Strategic Account). Manage the evaluation, selection, onboarding, and negotiation of Distributors, ensuring a smooth and proactive partnership. Administer and rationalize Distributor/BAF agreements post-acquisition.
Sales Optimization: Collaborate closely with our Distributors to plan, implement, and optimize sales activities. Your goal is to exceed objectives in terms of profit, market share, and sales turnover.
Collaboration: Work closely with our Marketing team to plan and execute activities aimed at boosting sales. Maintain Salesforce data for reliable data retrieval. Conduct internal coordination with Customer Service and product team to support our Distributors/Enterprise/Strategic Accounts in the region.
Experience engaging C-suite and senior stakeholders: Proven track record in communicating and managing relationships with C-level executives and senior management. Demonstrated ability to conduct high-level presentations, influence decision-making, and align solutions with strategic business objectives.
Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment: Ability to perform well in a dynamic, results-driven environment with evolving priorities. Demonstrates strong planning, execution, and adaptability skills while meeting commercial targets and timelines.
Experience in specification-based sales and project works: Solid experience in handling specification (spec) works, including collaboration with consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and developers. Strong understanding of long sales cycles, tender processes, and cross-functional coordination to drive successful project outcomes.
