Overview

Our client is seeking a self-driven and highly motivated APAC Sales Director with strong negotiation skills and a proven track record of success. The successful candidate will oversee the B2B sales department, focusing on growing sales volume, reducing customer turnover, and ensuring the effectiveness of the sales team in the Asia Pacific (APAC) region. There is potential to expand into markets beyond APAC.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual B2B revenue targets.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive incremental and new sales in the APAC region.
  • Regularly review and assess existing sales strategies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor business trends and customer accounts while exploring opportunities to expand into new distribution channels and markets.
  • Analyze key sales metrics and provide accurate forecasts to support resource planning and inventory management.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, sales seminars, and events to gather leads and stay updated on market trends.
  • Build strong relationships with key B2B customers, understanding their needs and identifying opportunities to displace competitors.
  • Gather product feedback and share insights with product development teams for continuous improvement.
  • Lead new sales hiring efforts, set objectives, and provide training and coaching to ensure high team performance.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a Sales or Key Account Lead role, preferably within a consumer product company selling directly to large retailers (B2B or B2B2C) in the APAC region.
  • Proven track record in team management and sales achievements.
  • Experience in mentoring, coaching, and managing people.
  • Strong interest and knowledge of pop culture, collectibles, or the toy industry is a plus.
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and ambition to achieve results.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and time management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a high level of commitment and dedication.
  • Ability to prioritize complex tasks and meet deadlines.
