Job summary

A leading construction company in Singapore is seeking a Sales Representative to identify and manage opportunities in newly awarded projects. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of sales experience in industrial products, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and a valid class 3 driving license. This role focuses on ensuring customer satisfaction and managing accounts effectively within the company’s standards.

  • Actively seek out opportunities and newly awarded construction projects
  • Evaluate project needs, customer needs and customer credit worthiness
  • Set up meeting with existing customer to uphold customer service
  • Ensure customer needs are clearly identified and products and services offered by the company meets those needs
  • Negotiate and confirm supply contract, handle customer concerns or objections
  • Review customer's supply contract to ensure agreed price and terms and conditions are in order before contract endorsement
  • Liaise between project's commercial and QA/QC departments for company and rebar source documentary submission
  • Arrange and attend rebar sampling and approval testing
  • Establish good rapport with customer and/or project's persons-in-charge
  • Act as intermediary between customer and company's production and accounts departments to resolve issues or complaints that may occur from time to time
  • Effectively manage customer accounts in co-ordination with production and accounts departments to ensure credit limit is not exceeded and timely payment from customer
  • Attend weekly credit meeting and ensure prompt cheque collection
  • To work closely with customer and other departments for effective sales and production forecasting
  • To work closely with other members of the team to achieve sales target collectively
  • Act upon management instruction or any assigned work from time to time
Job Requirements
  • Education Qualification: Minimum GCE A Levels or equivalent
  • Working experience: Minimum 2 years in sales of industrial products or services
  • Skills: Microsoft Office 365 software, basic IT knowledge, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Valid class 3 driving License
