The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of relevant experience and be well-versed in tendering processes, technical specifications, and customer management. Proficiency in both English and Chinese is essential. The role includes sales support, order processing, and preparing invoices accurately.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Maintain master data for accurate transaction processing.
  • Implement and monitor sales policies for compliance.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and prepare quotations.
  • Coordinate order processing to meet delivery schedules.
  • Liaise with manufacturing sites on orders and deliveries.
  • Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on time.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Coordinator with a strong background in the marine, defence, wind and aviation industries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing government projects across Singapore and the Asia Pacific region, with a solid understanding of tendering processes, technical specifications, and marine safety equipment. A good grasp of Letter of Credit (LC) procedures, shipping terms, and customer payment follow-ups is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Support: Maintain master data to support accurate transaction processing
  • Sales Support: Implement and monitor sales policies to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Sales Support: Respond to customer inquiries and prepare quotations as required
  • Sales Support: Coordinate order processing and fulfilment to meet delivery schedules
  • Sales Support: Liaise and co-ordinate with VIKING manufacturing sites on orders and deliveries
  • Sales Support: Prepare and issue invoices accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and regulatory requirements, and follow up to confirm receipt and completion of payment
  • Sales Execution: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the marine (defence, wind & aviation)
  • Sales Execution: Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies and key clients in the Asia Pacific region.
Requirements
  • Education – GCE Secondary, Junior College, Polytechnic Education/university degree
  • More than 2 years of experience on the same or similar position
  • Having a customer-oriented mindset
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and follow up skills
  • Understanding the needs within the customer segment
  • Computer literacy: very good. Familiar with PC applications, example Microsoft Word, Excel; work with SAP
  • Have good command of spoken and written English & Chinese
  • Personal qualifications - communication, accuracy, analyticity, organization, work independent, loyalty
  • Other requirements regarding health and others - be in good physical and mental health, passed preliminary medical examination before starting work and without medical contraindications for the job position
