POSITION SUMMARY

Our Sales and Marketing Assistant Manager APAC is highly organized, able to prioritize and enjoys a fast-paced work environment in the beauty industry. This position will support the Retail Team and report to the APAC Brand Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist APAC Brand Director on ad’hoc requests (from retailers or local markets)
  • Assist on doors expansion strategy and coordinate with Visual Merchandising Team
  • Assist in go-to-market execution for potential new markets or retailers
  • Create and maintain organizational templates, APAC calendars and trackers and side by sides as directed by Retail leadership team
  • Review APAC category and product sales regularly; propose and execute action plans for improved core/focus SKU performance
  • Work with global Retail Marketing team to develop, define strategies for sampling, sets, product assortment by retailer according to local needs
  • Recommend set and promotional programs (locally relevant); monitor and report success and ROI
  • Contribute to customer selling presentations, retail team (beauty advisors) briefings and business reviews decks
  • Partner with Retail Marketing team to evaluate brand merchandising for APAC accounts to ensure brand is represented at the highest levels
  • Support Retail leadership team in creating sales, marketing and educational programs that help drive in-store and online sales
  • Support the team with administrative tasks including ordering and shipping out samples and project management
  • Collaborate with global Visual Merchandising team on experiential projects execution such as launchpads, front of store tables etc.
  • Manage creative briefs, production & delivery of in-store promotional collaterals
  • Manage Visual Merchandising maintenance requests
  • Submit retailer assortments, animations, promotional markdown requests in retailers’ brand portals
  • Support market week presentation for all retailers with cross functional teams, including but not limited to securing comps & ordering market week gratis
  • Use out-of-the-box thinking and trend research to contribute to team meetings and brainstorming sessions
  • Look for ways to improve processes and communicate recommendations to the Global Retail Team
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with all customer partners, vendors, and internal Rare Beauty team members
  • Additional responsibilities as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree or higher with specialization in business administration, marketing, retail marketing, sales or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of sales and/or retail marketing experience in Beauty/Fashion/Lifestyle industries
  • Experience working with Beauty retailers is a plus (Sephora, Department Stores)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player that works well with others
  • Ability to think ahead, anticipate opportunities and challenges
  • Creative and resourceful, good problem solver
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach with an appropriate sense of urgency
  • Experience in consumer products and/or ecommerce, notably cosmetics or beauty
  • Candidates must be punctual, professional, positive, polished, and passionate about beauty!

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • International travel may be required
