Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales and Application Specialist to join our growing team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales of our scientific and medical laboratory equipment portfolio, as well as providing expert technical and application support to our diverse client base. This role requires a unique blend of sales acumen, scientific knowledge, and hands-on technical expertise to effectively demonstrate, implement, and support complex laboratory instruments.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Business Development:
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets for assigned product lines and territories within the scientific and medical laboratory sector.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities, expand market share, and cultivate strong relationships with key opinion leaders and decision-makers.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, product demonstrations, and technical proposals to prospective and existing clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships.
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and new product developments to inform sales strategies.
Technical and Application Support:
  • Provide expert pre-sales technical consultation and application support to customers, understanding their research and diagnostic needs.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions for customers on the operation, maintenance, and application of scientific and medical laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, provide solutions, and coordinate with service engineers and manufacturers for advanced support.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge across the assigned portfolio.
Customer Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with customers
  • Act as a primary point of contact for technical inquiries and support, fostering trust and reliability
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to contribute to product development and marketing strategies
Requirements
  • Degree in Biomedical Science, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related life science field.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in sales or application support roles within the scientific, medical, or laboratory equipment industry.
  • Strong understanding of scientific principles and laboratory workflows.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical information clearly and persuasively.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficiency in English; additional language skills relevant to the Singapore market are a plus.
