Job Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated, adaptable, and engaging Sales & Administrative Executive to join our team. This multi‑faceted role is critical to enhancing our sales outreach, securing new projects across both our vertical transportation and general construction portfolios, and ensuring smooth administrative operations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual with a keen eye for business development, a talent for building relationships, and the flexibility to support various functions including sales, marketing, and basic office administration, including quantity surveying tasks for diverse project types.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities to expand our client base and increase project intake for both vertical transportation (lifts, elevators) and general construction solutions (steel, glass, aluminium works).
- Develop and implement innovative strategies to engage with key industry stakeholders, explore new market segments, and drive sales volume across all our service offerings.
- Cultivate strong, lasting relationships with potential and existing clients, understanding their diverse needs and positioning Meyer Lift's integrated solutions effectively.
- Prepare compelling sales proposals, presentations, and quotations in response to client inquiries and tender opportunities for various project types.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in both specialized and general construction sectors to identify growth areas and inform sales strategies.
Marketing & Engagement
- Contribute creative ideas for marketing initiatives to enhance Meyer Lift's brand presence and attract new business across all project categories.
- Assist in developing marketing materials and campaigns that resonate with our target audience in both specialized and general construction.
Administrative & Project Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the sales and management teams, ensuring efficient office operations.
- Assist with basic finance‑related paperwork, including invoice processing, expense tracking, and record keeping.
- Undertake quantity surveying tasks, including preparing cost estimates, material take‑offs, and project variations for a variety of construction projects (vertical transportation, steel, glass, aluminum) for tenders and ongoing works.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, and project documentation.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and site visits as required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical), Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a sales, marketing, or administrative role within the construction, engineering, or M&E industries, with exposure to diverse project types.
- Must possess a strong aptitude for quantity surveying tasks and be proficient in preparing cost estimates and material take‑offs for construction projects, including those involving steel, glass, and aluminum.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Highly adaptable, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast‑paced environment that spans different construction domains.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A resourceful problem‑solver with a desire to bring new ideas and drive improvements.
- Possession of a valid Class 3 driving license is a plus.
