Job summary

A recruitment agency in Singapore is seeking a Trade Coordinator for a 1-year contract. The role involves overseeing documentation vendors, monitoring performance, and analyzing trade data. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in International Business or related fields and 2-5 years of experience in international trade. Entry-level candidates are also welcome to apply. This position offers a work schedule of 9am to 5.45pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in international trade or import/export.
  • Knowledge of trade finance instruments like LCs and B/Ls.
  • Experience with digitalization and automation in trade documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee coordination with documentation vendors.
  • Monitor vendor performance and delivery of documentation.
  • Analyze trade data to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for documentation vendors.
  • Manage and own the Trade Systems for functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to meet system requirements.
  • Define and maintain system governance and data integrity.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate with third-party documentation vendors, including freight forwarders, trade documentation service providers, and insurance companies
  • Monitor vendor performance, ensure timely delivery of documentation, and elevate issues as necessary.
  • Analyze trade data to identify trends, opportunities, and cost‑saving measures.
  • Act as the main point of contact between internal teams (istics, finance, legal) and documentation vendors to ensure smooth information flow.
  • Serve as the primary business owner of the Trade Systems, accountable for its functionality, performance, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with IT, compliance, operations, and business users to ensure system requirements are met, and enhancements are implemented effectively.
  • Define and maintain system governance, including user access, data integrity, compliance, and change‑control processes.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Trade, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in international trade, import/export operations, or trade compliance is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of trade finance instruments (LCs, B/Ls, etc.).
  • Knowledge of digitalization and automation of trade documentation processes, ensuring secure and efficient document handling.
