Job summary

Goldman Sachs in Singapore seeks a candidate for the Commodities Institutional Sales desk to manage relationships with primarily institutional clients across APAC, coordinating with Trading and Strategists and internal teams to grow the business.

Role requires strong academics, organizational and analytical abilities, and excellent communication. You will handle flow trades and longer-term projects with a high level of client service.

The Commodities Institutional Sales desk is looking for a candidate to work with a range of primarily institutional clients located across APAC. Team members help strengthen client relationships by partnering with Trading and Strategists, as well as other internal sales teams. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to deliver exceptional client relationship management, expert knowledge across commodity markets & derivative products and have a highly organised approach to growing the overall business.

The Commodities Institutional Sales desk is looking for a candidate to work with a range of primarily institutional clients located across APAC. Team members help strengthen client relationships by partnering with Trading and Strategists, as well as other internal sales teams. On a day-to-day basis, team members will be expected to deliver exceptional client relationship management, expert knowledge across commodity markets & derivative products and have a highly organised approach to growing the overall business.

Responsibilities / Qualifications:
  • Flow trade execution and managing the pre and post trade process for a client, which would include liaising with several internal teams (trading, ops, legal, credit, structuring,) to ensure positive client experience, seamless trade executionand a co-ordinated approach.
  • Being knowledgeable about, and able to talk to, a range of products (futures, options, commodity index/ systematic strategies, market access products)
  • Summarising and communicating relevant content and market colour to clients. This requires an understanding of commodities market fundamentals
  • Co-ordinating and producing client follow-ups and tailored analysis for clients, often liaising with trading, research and structuring.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong academic record with minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • Strong organisational skills and an interest to work on both flow trades as well as longer term projects.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
