Overview

Are you a proactive and detail-oriented Safety Officer with a strong background in HDB projects? Our client, a leading main contractor in Singapore, is seeking a WSHO-certified Safety Officer to join their dynamic team. You will play a key role in ensuring workplace safety, health, and environmental compliance across residential construction sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) on-site.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and recommend corrective actions.
• Lead safety initiatives including toolbox meetings, emergency drills, and safety campaigns.
• Liaise with authorities (MOM, NEA, BCA) on audits, inspections, and compliance matters.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training.
• Advise project management on safety legislation updates and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure proper implementation of Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems.
• Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Mentor junior safety personnel and oversee Safe Management Officers (SMO).

Requirements

• MOM-Registered WSH Officer and Environmental Control Officer (ECO).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in HDB projects in Singapore. Completed whole projects without job hopping mid-way through.
• Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore’s WSH regulations and HDB project protocols.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with site teams.
