Responsibilities

• Monitor safety and health aspects of all projects and ensure workers’ safe work practices.
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify implementation of safe work procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, or dangerous occurrences and recommend preventive measures.
• Perform risk assessments for all projects and maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping at sites.
• Conduct safety orientations and daily toolbox meetings.
• Plan, administer, and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local safety regulations.
• Oversee internal audits for renewal/surveillance of OHSAS18001 and Bizsafe Star certifications.
• Ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act and all subsidiary legislation.
• Identify unsafe conditions or practices and recommend or implement corrective measures.
• Inspect project materials delivered by suppliers for conformity and arrange for testing where required.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.

Requirements

• Possess valid registration with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• 3–4 years of relevant experience in the engineering and construction industry.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/specifications.
• Familiar with construction site safety inspections and local regulations.
