Job summary

A safety management company in Singapore is seeking a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO) with at least 3 years of experience. The role involves conducting safety inspections, developing emergency preparedness plans, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Relevant certifications are required. Working hours are Monday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in WSH-related work.
• Certificates: WSHO Cert and Card, FSM certificate, Work at Height Certificate, Confined Space Assessor Certificate, Lifting Supervisor Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the duties of WSHO and daily inspection.
• Share updates and incidents with the Safety Committee.
• Conduct safety-related trainings for staff.
• Plan and coordinate safety inspections and emergency drills.
• Develop Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Carry out the duties of WSHO and daily inspection, recommendation and report submission
2. Share with the Safety Committee on updates, incidents and any new rules from the MOM
3. Track, plan, schedule and conduct safety-related trainings for the client and contractor staff
4. Plan, coordinate, and conduct safety inspections and emergency drills for the location
5. Develop Emergency Preparedness and Response Plans and refine plans to cover risks.
6. Plan and conduct an internal WSH Audit and review on the Safety and Health Management System
7. Recommend safety improvement measures and draft contract requirements for safety improvements
8. Carry out the duties as listed in the Fire Safety (Fire Safety Managers) Regulations.
9. Carry out a fire risk assessment, including the identification and control of hazardous materials
10. Plan and carry out a tabletop exercise as and when instructed by the client
11. Plan an annual firefighting exercise with SCDF and conduct fire evacuation exercises Plan annual firefighting exercise with SCDF and conduct fire evacuation exercises for the premises

Requirements

1. Minimum 3 years of working experience in WSH-related work

3. Work Location: Island-wide
4. Working hours Mon to Fri (8.30 to 5.30) & Saturday (8.30 to 12.30)
