Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description
- To formulate Fire Emergency Plans and procedures of the Hospital. To ensure that plans and procedures are updated.
- To organize Fire Safety Committee, implement fire safety rules and regulations as required of the Singapore Fire Safety Bureau. To ensure compliance of fire safety rules and regulations.
- To develop programs to train hospital staff in basic fire fighting and rescuing. To meet the target set on performance indicators.
- To train staff on the use of basic fire fighting equipment. To train schedule meet. To co-ordinate, record and conduct fire drills as required by Singapore Fire Safety Bureau.
- To conduct regular inspection, identify, record and take immediate action to rectify potential fire hazards within the Hospital. To inspect dateline meet.
- To ensure all fire emergency systems are in working condition and meet the requirements of the Singapore Fire Safety Bureau. To meet maintenance work schedule. To liaise with Contractor(s) on the maintenance of all fire fighting equipment and to ensure maintenance are carried out and record to mmet the rules and regulations of Singapore Fire Safety Bureau. To conduct scheduled maintenance inspection.
- To liaise with other Ministries on Fire Safety matters and to promote the awareness of fire safety. To co-ordinate with FSSD on fire matters. Create awareness programme.
Job Requirement
- Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Building Services Estates Management) at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Must be a registered MOM Workplace Safety and Health Officer (Mandatory)
- Fire Safety Manager Certificate with the Singapore Civil Defence Force.
- Must be matured and self-motivated.
