Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking an experienced Workplace Safety and Health Officer. Responsible for implementing and monitoring safety management systems, coordinating safety matters with teams and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in HDB Construction projects and be MOM Registered WSHO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in HDB Construction project.
• Must be familiar with Workplace Safety and Health policies.
• Experience in risk assessment and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Workplace Safety & Health and Environment Management Systems.
• Coordinate project safety matters with project team and subcontractors.
• Conduct regular WSH inspections to ensure safety compliance.

Job Description

• Responsible for the implementation and monitoring of Workplace Safety & Health and Environment Management Systems at work sites.
• Coordinate project safety matters with project team and subcontractors.
• Liaise with authorities like MOM, NEA, PUB HDB and consultants on safety related matters.
• Conduct regular WSH inspections and follow-up actions to ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
• Ensure the Project meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
• Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipments and operations.
• Ensure all accidents are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
• Review of subcontractor’s health & safety policies, systems of work and procedures.

Job Requirements

• MOM Registered WSHO
• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in HDB Construction project.
• Familiar with ISO45001, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
