Job description
Job Purpose:

The Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing the company’s safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment across all construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, review, and enforce the Safety Management System (SMS) and ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and the development of preventive measures.
  • Organize safety training programs, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns for all employees and subcontractors.
  • Liaise with government agencies (MOM, WSHC) to ensure all statutory requirements are met and prepare for site audits.
  • Maintain comprehensive safety records, reports, and documentation for management review.
  • Supervise and mentor Safety Officers, ensuring consistent application of safety standards.
  • Promote a safety-first culture through leadership and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on safety KPIs and support project teams in achieving safety targets.
Requirements:
