Job description
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and enforce safety policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead safety training and awareness programs for employees and contractors.
  • Maintain records of safety incidents, training, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations (e.g., MOM, WSH Act in Singapore).
  • Prepare reports for management and regulatory bodies.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety performance and culture.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial or manufacturing safety management.
  • Strong knowledge of local safety regulations and international standards (e.g., ISO 45001).
  • Certified Safety Officer or equivalent (e.g., WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH).
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with safety management systems and digital reporting tools.
  • Ability to train and influence teams at all levels.
