JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Site Safety Coordination
- Monitor daily safety practices at all project sites.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify hazards or unsafe practices.
- Enforce compliance with WSH Act, subsidiary regulations, and company safety procedures.
- Oversee safety measures for high-risk activities such as confined space work, lifting operations, and hot works.
2. Risk Management & Safe Work Practices
- Assist in preparing and reviewing Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Method Statements.
- Ensure all workers are briefed on safety measures and proper PPE usage.
3. Incident Reporting & Investigation
- Record, report, and investigate accidents, near-misses, and unsafe acts.
- Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
4. Training & Safety Communication
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and new worker inductions.
- Promote a proactive safety culture among site personnel.
5. Materials Receiving & Site Documentation
- Receive and inspect materials, equipment, and tools delivered to site for compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Ensure Delivery Orders (DO), site logs, and related documents are correctly filed and maintained.
- Coordinate with procurement and site teams to track material usage and reporting.
6. Compliance & Record Keeping
- Maintain safety records, permits, checklists, and site documentation (PTW, WAH, confined space, inspections).
- Assist in MOM or client safety audits and inspections.
- Ensure subcontractors comply with company safety policies and documentation standards.
7. Continuous Improvement
- Recommend improvements in safety practices, materials handling, and documentation.
- Support initiatives for enhanced safety culture and operational efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction safety coordination, preferably in plumbing and sanitary works.
- Knowledge of materials management, site documentation, and delivery verification.
- Familiar with MOM, WSH regulations, and construction safety standards.
- Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple site assignments.
