To develope and implement safety policies, conduct hazard assessments and inspections, and providing safety training to employees. Responsible for investigating accidents, maintaining safety records, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Roles and responsibilities:
- to plan, organize and direct the activities of a construction project.
- to work on-site most of the time under the sun, looking after the day-to-day responsibilities of the project.
- to negotiate changes with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
- to monitor performance of sub-contractors and staff
- to allocate resources, materials, sub-contractos and other staff
- to develop and implement quality control programs and safety programs.
- to maintain a safe, secure and healthy work enviroment by adhering to the enforcing safety codes
- to prepare progress reports.
- to develop, implement, and enfore company safety policies and procedures
- to ensure compliance with local, state and federal health and safety regulations
- to stay current on safety regulations and industry best practices
- to conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify potential hazards
- to perform risk assessments and job safety analyse
- to implement corrective and preventive measures to address identified safety issues
- to monitor the condition of equipment and machinery for safety
- to organize and conduct safety training for all employees, including newn hires and emergency response drills.
- to educate employees on safety protocols and the proper use of equipment
- to investigate accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions to determine root causes
- to maintain comprehensive safety records, including incident reports, training documentation, and inspection logs.
- to report on safety incidents to management
Requirements:
- 5.5 days work week
- at least 4 years of working experience in construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
- able to speak, write and read English
- have good project administration and management skills
- read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
- have in-depth knowledge of building codes and regulations
- have knowledge of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
- have good interpersonal and negotiation skills
