A leading elevator manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking a Safety Officer to ensure compliance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act. Responsibilities include conducting safety training, performing inspections, and maintaining safety documentation. Ideal candidates will have a diploma or degree in Occupational Safety & Health and experience with WSH requirements. The role requires teamwork and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Advise and ensure the site operation team to perform their duties in safety manner and under WSH act or any other relevant policies.
Disseminate and implement updates to the site operational team on WSH Act and other legal requirements.
Understand the nature of operation works and adhere with the client/main contractor in-house requirement. In particular: Warehouse, Schindler, WHOS and CAG.
Generate / produce / review / maintain the relevant safety documents (RA / SWP / MOS / Lifting Plan / Environmental Aspect & impact / other docs) as per client’s requirement.
Conduct daily toolbox meeting and produce / compile relevant records.
Apply permit to work (PTW) as per main contractor requirements.
Conduct periodic safety and health walk-through inspections of all workplace facilities.
Ensure that quarterly safety training and all other specifically required training is provided for all employees.
Ensure that log of occupation injuries and illnesses is maintained and report accordingly.
Conduct accident/injury investigations and illness exposure monitoring.
Establish and monitor a program for reporting and investigating near-miss situations.
Conduct investigations into employee inquiries, suggestions and complaints.
Maintain required safety and health documents/files.
Ensure periodic inspections of all motorized vehicles.
