1. Key Responsibilities of a Safety Coordinator cum Sola Panel General Forman on Construction Sites.
2. Safety Management & Compliance
- Develop and implement site‑specific safety policies in line with the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and BCA guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with MOM regulations, ISO standards, and company safety protocols.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain safe work practices.
3. Risk Assessment & Hazard Control
- Conduct regular risk assessments and identify potential hazards.
- Recommend and implement corrective and preventive measures to mitigate risks.
- Monitor high‑risk activities such as working at heights, confined spaces, and electrical installations.
4. Incident Management
- Investigate accidents, near‑misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and follow up on corrective actions.
- Maintain an incident register and ensure timely reporting to authorities.
5. Training & Briefings
- Lead toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and induction sessions for workers.
- Ensure all workers are trained in relevant safety procedures and emergency protocols.
- Support upgrading efforts like SEC(K), CoreTrade, and CET certifications.
6. Documentation & Audits
- Maintain safety documentation including:
- Risk Assessments (RA)
- Safe Work Procedures (SWP)
- Permit‑to‑Work (PTW)
- Training records and inspection logs
- Prepare for and assist in MOM/BCA audits and inspections
7. Site Coordination
- Participate in site coordination meetings to align safety with project progress.
- Communicate effectively with multicultural teams, including Bangladeshi, Myanmar and Indian workers.
