Job summary

A leading construction firm in Singapore is seeking a Safety Coordinator responsible for safety compliance and training. The ideal candidate holds a Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health and has a minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in bored piling work. Strong project experience and the ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking workers is an advantage. The role includes conducting daily inspections, maintaining safety documentation, and assisting with training initiatives.

Qualifications

• Min 3 years of working experience in Construction Industry, preferably in bored piling work.
• Diploma specialized in Environmental/ Health/ Safety or equivalent is an advantage.
• Strong Project experience in LTA/MRT/RAIL project is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Make recommendations to remedy unsafe conditions.
• Assist in maintaining & updating the Safety and Health Management System (SHMS).
• Conduct daily WSH inspections to ensure compliance.

Safety Coordinator

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Make recommendations to implement reasonably practicable measures to remedy the unsafe condition or unsafe work practice
• Assist WSHO to maintain & update the SHMS
• Assist on developing and review of RA & SWP
• Assist WSHO for EHS promotion and trainings to all workers & colleagues for greater awareness & culture.
• Assist to conduct regular Toolbox meetings with emphasis on safety aspects
• To maintain all safety documentations and records on site
• Conduct In–house training
• Assist in Investigation, handle, report and liaise with relevant parties for accidents or EHS non-compliance.
• Conduct daily WSH inspection to ensure total compliance to MOM regulations and recommend preventive measures.
• Enforce all safety legislation and in-house safety rules and regulations.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the Management and the designated manager.

Requirements:

• Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
• Building Construction Safety Supervisors Certificate
• Min 3 years of working experience in Construction Industry (Preferable in bored piling work)
• Advance certificate in workplace safety and health (WSH Level B) / Diploma specialized in Environmental/ Health/ Safety or equivalent
• Advantage if able to communicate with mandarin speaking workers.
• Strong Project experience in LTA/MRT/RAIL project is an added advantage
