Job summary

A safety engineering firm in Singapore is looking for a safety officer to ensure compliance with the WSH Act. Responsibilities include conducting daily site inspections, investigating incidents, and providing safety orientation. Candidates must hold the WSQ in Workplace Safety and Health and be attentive to details. Immediate start is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have WSQ in Workplace Safety and Health.

Responsibilities

• Comply with WSH Act and assist in its implementation.
• Conduct daily site inspections and report findings.
• Investigate incidents and recommend remedial actions.
• Conduct safety orientation and toolbox meetings.
• Assess risk and identify safety hazards on site.
• Ensure compliance with safety measures.

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

• Comply and assist in implementing the requirements of the WSH Act and all its subsidiary and statutory legal legislations.
• Inspection of site daily and take appropriate corrective actions, prepares inspection report for project team to take an immediate action.
• To investigate accidents / incidents / dangerous occurrences & put up reports & recommend remedial actions.
• Conduct in-house safety orientation for all new joiners to the site, and also conduct daily tool box meeting.
• Inspect project sites to ensure safety measures are being carried out at all times.
• To conduct risk assessment and identify safety hazards on site
• Work closely with WSHO and safety personnel to ensure safety are compliance
• Any ad-hoc job assigned by superior
• To participate in mass safety talk, tool box meeting and housekeeping.

Requirements
