Job Description

Zendesk is seeking a positive, performance-driven, and influential leader to serve as our Regional Vice President for Asia, covering key strategic markets including Greater China Region (GCR), Southeast Asia (SEA), and Korea. This is a unique opportunity to lead senior sales specialists across multiple high-growth markets for a fast-growing NYSE-listed SaaS company.

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales for Asia Pacific & Japan and collaborating closely with the broader Asia-Pacific leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a long-term growth strategy across the region. Your leadership will drive organizational scaling, strengthen partnerships, and foster new business development with key enterprise accounts throughout these diverse and dynamic markets.

We are looking for an outstanding sales leader with deep expertise in SaaS economics and a proven ability to deliver results across varied cultures and markets. You are a high-energy, performance-fueled individual who can inspire and lead teams while executing a multifaceted sales strategy that accelerates market share growth and maximizes customer and employee satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive regional sales plan spanning GCR, SEA, and Korea, ensuring strong cross-functional alignment and collaboration with Enterprise Sales, Marketing, Pre-Sales, Customer Success, Services, and Sales Development teams.

  • Provide visionary leadership and clear direction to distributed sales teams across multiple countries with varying market dynamics.

  • Define and implement customer acquisition strategies for direct inbound sales and through an extensive partner ecosystem tailored to regional nuances.

  • Own financial performance targets for new customer acquisition and expansion across all assigned markets, adapting strategies for high-growth and emerging regions.

  • Recruit, onboard, mentor, and develop sales leaders and teams across different countries, fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Zendesk’s values.

  • Deliver regular, insightful reporting on sales performance, market trends, and risks to the Executive Leadership team.

  • Lead and optimize the end-to-end sales process, establishing regional KPIs and metrics for effective pipeline and funnel management.

  • Balance strategic planning with hands‑on operational management to navigate complex markets and ensure scalable growth.

Requirements
  • 10+ years' experience in software/SaaS sales, ideally with background in Customer Experience (CX), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), ERP, or other B2B software sectors.

  • 5+ years of senior sales leadership experience spanning multiple countries in Asia, with a track record of leading revenue growth in complex, multicultural markets such as GCR, SEA, and Korea.

  • Proven success in leading teams responsible for enterprise accounts, closing both mid‑market deals ($12K ARR+) as well as large, strategic deals exceeding $1M+ ARR.

  • Deep understanding of regional business cultures and market dynamics, including regulatory environments and partner ecosystems.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with strong executive presence; trusted relationship builder who can engage stakeholders at all organizational levels both internally and externally.

  • Established relationships with key enterprise partners and customers across Asia, with the ability to expand Zendesk’s footprint in these markets.

  • Proven ability to drive results while maintaining integrity, transparency, and a genuine focus on what’s best for the business.
