Job summary

A maintenance and engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a skilled technician to inspect, repair, and maintain rotating equipment. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of mechanical systems, excellent tool competency, and ideally 2 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include testing and troubleshooting equipment, adhering to safety standards, and working both independently and as part of a team. The role may require overtime and work at elevated locations.

Qualifications

• Understanding of mechanical systems and how they operate.
• Competence in using various tools and equipment for fitting and maintenance tasks for rotating equipment.
• Preferably 2 years’ working experience in the related field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair and maintain rotating equipment.
• Carry out alignment works and operative testing of rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues for installed equipment.

Job Scopes

• Inspect, repair and maintain rotating equipment.
• Safe approach to perform operative testing of rotating equipment and carry out alignment works.
• Troubleshoot, solving mechanical issues for the installed equipment/systems.
• Perform all necessary repair, installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Safely and accurately disassemble and reassemble rotating equipment following proper procedures and technical documentation.
• Adhering to safety protocols and standards in all mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with procedural requirements.
• Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for fitting, aligning, and assembling components.
• Prepare and maintain documented records as required.

Key Qualifications

• Understanding of mechanical systems and how they operate.
• Competence in using various tools and equipment for fitting and maintenance tasks for rotating equipment.
• Preferably 2 years’ working experiences in the related field.
• Able to commit to overtime, if required.
