Job summary

HONG YE GROUP PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Robotics Engineer Intern to help develop, fine-tune, deploy, and validate intelligent behaviours on real humanoid robots. You will be part of the end-to-end development pipeline, from data collection to model training, simulation, and real-world testing.

The role focuses on building embodied AI capabilities, with opportunities to work across software and hardware tasks on physical robots in an on-site setting in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Willingness to work directly with physical robots.
• Pursuing a degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong interest in robotics and embodied AI.
• Proficiency in Python; C++ experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ROS or ROS2.

Robotics Engineer Intern - Embodied AI

About the Role

We are building in-house humanoid robotics capabilities (perceive, reason, and act autonomously) for real-world service and operational environments.

We are looking for a hands-on Embodied AI Engineer with an interest in robot learning and humanoid robotics. You will support the development, fine-tuning, deployment, and validation of intelligent behaviors on physical humanoid robots.

This internship provides exposure to the full development pipeline, including data collection, model training, robot integration, simulation, real-world testing, and failure analysis.

What You will Do

• Assist in developing and testing robot foundation models for perception, mapping, task planning, and embodied decision-making.
• Support data collection, experiment setup, and performance evaluation.
• Run field tests, collect datasets, and perform benchmarking.

Requirements

• Willingness to work directly with physical robots and contribute across both software and hardware tasks.
• Pursuing a degree in, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong interest in robotics and embodied AI.
• Proficiency in Python; C++experience is an advantage.
• Familiarity with ROS or ROS2.
