Job summary

A leading oil and gas trading MNC in Singapore is looking for a Risk Executive to join their Risk Management team. The candidate will monitor physical and derivative trades while managing market risks and ensuring compliance with internal policies. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in relevant fields and relevant experience in oil & gas or risk management. Salary details and availability to commence work should be indicated in the resume.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in oil & gas trading or 2 years in a risk management role.
• Familiarity with the Entrade (ETRM) system is a plus.
• Understanding of upstream contracts is beneficial.

Job description

Our client is an Oil & Gas Trading MNC with significant market presence in APAC region, they are actively hiring for a Risk Executive to join their Risk Management team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and update records for both physical trades and hedging derivatives.
• Manage profit and loss performance and oversee exposure to market risks.
• Reconcile hedging positions and coordinate margin call processes with financial institutions.
• Handle matters related to credit risk.
• Ensure all activities comply with internal policies and procedures.
• Prepare reports for management and other key stakeholders.
• Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the ETRM platform.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Maritime Studies, with strong numerical skills.
• Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in oil & gas trading, or at least 2 years in a risk management role outside the energy sector.
• Familiarity with the Entrade (ETRM) system is an advantage.
• Understanding of Upstream contract is beneficial.
