A leading crypto exchange in Singapore is seeking a Risk Control Business Partner who is fluent in Mandarin and English. The role involves driving business growth and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Ideal candidates will have over 3 years of experience in compliance or law and be detail-oriented with strong communication skills. Drive business growth, coordinate with global compliance efforts, and help interpret legal and compliance guidelines to enable employees to conduct business more compliantly. Ensure employees and clients understand industry policies and regulations, all while serving the goal of business growth. Integrate compliance and risk control awareness directly into business operations.
Act as the crucial bridge between the regional and global compliance function, collaborating closely with global compliance, legal, risk control, and other teams.
Drive effective localization and implementation of global compliance policies within local business operations, ensuring that compliance requirements are met while maintaining commercial viability, and reasonably balancing compliance risk with business efficiency.
Deeply participate in key business processes such as product design, user experience, and operational mechanisms. Embed compliance requirements into the front-end of processes to ensure risk control and compliance standards do not negatively impact user experience or business development.
Identify and assess potential risks related to market manipulation, suspicious transactions, and other regulatory violations. Lead the development of internal response mechanisms, coordinate relevant teams for rapid incident response, and drive a closed-loop disposition and improvement process.
Refine the localized compliance management system, formulating operational guidelines and internal control mechanisms applicable to business teams. Continuously enhance the compliance awareness and execution ability of business personnel, including writing actionable compliance manuals, establishing risk identification mechanisms, and designing and implementing training programs.
3+ years of relevant work experience in compliance or law, familiar with the regulatory environment within the local region
Experience in multinational corporations (MNCs), FinTech, consumer internet, or cross-border business is a plus.
Experience collaborating with multinational teams, with the ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
Fluent in both Mandarin and English, possessing strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
Familiar with local laws, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), data privacy, financial supervision, and other relevant regulations.
Possess a strong commercial understanding, capable of proposing practical compliance suggestions to support business implementation.
Detail-oriented, with strong execution skills and a high sense of responsibility.
