Job summary

Persol Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Compliance and Risk professional to assist in managing risk policies and ensuring their effective execution in Singapore. The role supports regular reviews, updates to procedures, and fostering a robust risk culture within operations.

The position requires a Diploma or Degree in Law or related fields, a minimum of three years’ experience in risk management or compliance within financial institutions, familiarity with Singapore Insurance Act and MAS

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in risk management or compliance within financial institutions.
• Familiarity with the Singapore Insurance Act and MAS Insurance regulations.
• Experience dealing with internal and external auditors.
• Legal or paralegal experience with an understanding of legal protocols and documentation is advantageous.
• Able to work under pressure and deliver results within tight timelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing risk management policies and ensure their effective execution.
• Participate in regular reviews of compliance procedures, recommending and implementing modifications to mitigate business risks.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory updates and support their implementation within the branch.
• Contribute to fostering a robust risk culture within operations.
• Engage in ad-hoc projects and reviews as required.
• Review and coordinate legal documentation, including non-disclosure agreements, litigation correspondence, regulatory submissions, and contractual documents.
• Monitor legal matters under the guidance of management and external counsel, without providing independent legal advice.
• Maintain registers for legal matters, tracking key deadlines, court dates, and regulatory timelines.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and internal stakeholders to ensure timely communication and provision of necessary documentation related to legal and governance issues.
