The 1872 Clipper Tea Co. is expanding, and we’re looking for a Retail Associate to join our team. This isn't just a job—it's an opportunity to grow your career. We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic team player who will be the face of our brand, helping customers discover our heritage and find their perfect brew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Greet every customer with a warm welcome and provide an exceptional, personalised shopping experience. Proactively share your knowledge of our tea blends and accessories to confidently recommend products and meet store targets.
  • Product Expertise: Become an expert on our teas, from our classic favorites to new seasonal blends. You will be a go-to resource for customers, helping them understand our "farm-to-cup" philosophy and the art of brewing.
  • Store Operations & Visual Merchandising: Maintain the store's pristine appearance and inviting atmosphere. This includes keeping displays organised, assisting with inventory, and ensuring our products are showcased beautifully.
  • Point-of-Sales Transactions: Handle all sales, returns, and payment processes with accuracy and efficiency, ensuring a smooth checkout experience for every customer.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the team to ensure the store runs smoothly every day. Your energy and positive attitude will be key to a dynamic and collaborative workplace.
  • Compliance: Uphold all company standards and policies, from sales procedures to safety protocols.
Minimum Requirements
  • A highly driven, positive, and outgoing attitude with a passion for tea.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a premium retail environment. Specialty tea or coffee experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a busy store.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
