Job Description
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for meeting clients, understanding their event requirements, and ensuring all arrangements are confirmed before execution. This includes reviewing and analysing Banquet Event Orders to determine setup needs, buffet layout, AV requirements, timelines, and any special requests to ensure a smooth, successful event.
Strategic Planning
- Work closely with the team to set clear, realistic, and achievable sales targets.
- Develop sales strategies and growth plans aligned with the company’s revenue and profit goals.
- Manage and monitor budgets required to achieve sales objectives.
- Establish sales plans and targets for all brand portfolios.
- Identify key market segments and implement tailored strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Acquire new business accounts and expand the customer base.
- Oversee day-to-day event operations and service requirements.
- Conduct market research and analyse competitor rates and packages.
- Track staff performance and support Route of Advancement (ROA) planning.
Marketing
- Shape brand identity and ensure each brand’s values are communicated effectively.
- Collaborate with the team to meet P&L expectations set by the Board.
- Plan appropriate marketing strategies within approved budgets to achieve monthly sales targets.
- Work with the Marketing team on campaign concepts, marketing collaterals, and product packaging.
- Implement corrective actions when sales fall below monthly targets.
- Develop at least three brand campaigns per year.
- Supervise the marketing team to ensure objectives are met within allocated budgets.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, F&B, or related fields.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in Banquets, Catering Sales, or Catering Operations, with understanding of P&L, menu planning, and food & wine pairing.
- Experience handling wedding events is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and vendors.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
