Job summary

A non-profit organization in Singapore seeks a detail-oriented individual for resource library management. The role involves overseeing cataloguing, maintaining an effective lending system, and managing inventory, ensuring timely procurement of materials. Candidates should possess strong communication skills and a passion for supporting educational environments. Experience in library management or school operations is advantageous. Working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the organisation, indexing, cataloguing, and classification of resources.
  • Maintain an accurate loaning system.
  • Develop and maintain teaching resources in consultation with Curriculum Teams.
  • Manage the Resource Library budget.
  • Conduct regular reviews to improve library services.

Key Responsibilities

Resource Library Management (90%)

  • Oversee the organisation, indexing, cataloguing, and classification of all resources

  • Maintain an accurate and efficient catalogue and loaning system

  • Ensure timely procurement, stock control, and replenishment of quality materials

  • Develop, purchase, organise, and maintain teaching and learning resources in consultation with Curriculum Teams

  • Manage and enhance the Resource Library environment to ensure effective access and usage

  • Guide staff on accessing resources and using the library system

  • Respond to user requests for stationery, classroom materials, consumables, and teaching resources

  • Plan and manage the Resource Library budget

  • Maintain a vibrant and inviting library environment

  • Keep updated on new ICT solutions for resource and library management

  • Partner with internal teams and external agencies to support educational and curriculum-related programmes

  • Conduct regular reviews to evaluate and improve library services

Other Responsibilities (10%)

  • Provide general resource support for organisation-wide programmes and events

  • Participate in school and AAS-wide activities and initiatives

  • Serve in working committees to support the school’s vision and mission

  • Undertake duties assigned by the Administration Manager and Principals as required
