Job summary

A construction management firm in Singapore is seeking a seasoned civil engineering professional for a supervisory position. Candidates must hold a Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years of experience supervising high-voltage substations, data centers, or industrial projects. Responsibilities include ensuring project compliance with specifications, site inspections, and working closely with regulatory bodies. This role is critical in delivering projects safely and efficiently.

  • Registered Resident Technical Officer by IES.
  • Basic knowledge of architectural details and construction works on site.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with regulatory authorities and contractors to resolve site issues.
  • Carry out supervision of structural works and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Attend coordination meetings to highlight problems and recommend solutions.

Minimum qualifications
  1. Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering with at least 5 years' post tertiary experience in Singapore, of which 5 years must be supervision of Substation 66kV and above/ Data Center /Industrial / Factory projects as RTO
  2. Registered Resident Technical Officer by IES
  3. Basic knowledge of Architectural details and construction works on site
Responsibilities
  • Must be Registered with IES/ACES as a RE for RE C&S. RTO cert for RTO C&S.
  • Basic knowledge of Architectural details and construction works on site.
  • To supervise the project to ensure that the works are constructed in accordance to the project specifications, construction drawings, contract, Building Control Act and Regulations, authorities and client's requirements
  • Report to C&S QP, work closely with the regulatory authorities and contractors to provide supervision on site, resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the projects.
  • Carry out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor's works on site.
  • Carry out regular site checks on Builder and ensure compliance on health and work safety in accordance with MOM.
  • Review Contractor's submissions, work method statements and work demonstrations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and resolving site discrepancies to prevent delays.
  • Attend site, progress, variation and coordination meetings, highlighting foreseeable problems and recommending possible solutions.
  • Provide administrative control and maintaining proper records including site attendance, leave records, overtime records and inspections checklists
