Job summary

A civil engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to monitor construction activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage contractor performance. Candidates should be experienced, preferably with civil/infrastructure background, and hold relevant registrations and certifications. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required.
  • Preferably specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
  • Candidate with civil/infrastructure experience will be considered earlier.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractors' daily activity, site progress, and schedule.
  • Carry out administrative works as required by QP/Superintending Officer.
  • Review and check drawings and specifications.
  • Highlight discrepancies and feedback site progress.
  • Assist in reviewing contractor's method statements.
  • Prepare lists of defects and monitor rectification works.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

  • Monitor contractors' daily activity, site progress, schedule and safety on site
  • Carry out administrative works and other duties as required by QP/Superintending Officer/Consultant/Employer
  • Review and check all the drawings, specifications, and to ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the approved plans/drawings.
  • Highlight discrepancies, feedback site progress and non-conformances/irregularities to QP/Consultants/Employer.
  • Assist in reviewing of contractor's method statements and working procedures and assure contractor followed on site.
  • Prepare lists of defects, monitor the progress of rectification works and ensure all the defects are satisfactorily rectified.
  • To ensure all the construction works have complied statutory requirements
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Higher secondary/Pre-U/A level/College/ Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
  • Must be registered as Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with BCA/IES/ACES
  • At least 1 Year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Required Skill(s): Microsoft Office, Autocad
  • Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Engineering - Civil/Construction/Structural or equivalent.
  • Shall have a certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course
  • Candidate with civil/infrastructure experience will be considered earlier.
  • Must be a team player with strong leadership, communication, and supervision skills
