Job summary

A construction company in Singapore is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee construction activities, ensure quality control, and maintain compliance with safety regulations. The ideal candidate has a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience as a Resident Technical Officer. Job Description & Requirements
  • To perform all roles and responsibilities required of site supervisors under the Building Control Act.
  • To supervise the timely execution of the works and maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications, drawings, allocated timeframe, all other contract documents and site instructions.
  • To check mock-ups done on site, where necessary.
  • To ensure that the required construction tests in connection with the construction works are carried out where necessary.
  • To prepare defect lists, monitor progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are satisfactorily rectified.
  • Write daily reports of works done by contractor and record daily manpower status on site.
  • Inspect and maintain records of equipment/machinery/licensed machinery operator/permits (both statutory and aviation requirements).
  • To ensure that the structural elements or critical works of the construction works are being carried out in accordance with the approved plans and with any terms and conditions imposed by the Commissioner of Building Control where necessary.
Requirement
  • Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution or relevant qualifications.
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience as a RTO, of which at least three (3) years shall be in supervision of works similar in nature to major construction works in buildings, services laying and lighting & control systems.
  • Accreditation with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore are preferred.
  • Certificate in Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course.
