Job summary

GovTech in Singapore seeks an Assistant Manager, Projects Management Resident Technical Officer / Land Development (Demolition & Reinstatement) to oversee on-site activities and ensure works comply with drawings, plans, specs and safety requirements.

You will inspect daily works, monitor progress, review contractor programmes, and report project status to the Employer. Strong English communication and 3+ years' relevant experience are required, with willingness to travel to remote sites.

Qualifications

• RTO registration with IES/ACES.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in demolition, excavation, earthworks.
• Ability to travel to remote sites and own transport.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Employer on construction sites and monitor progress.
• Review drawings, plans, specifications and method statements for compliance.
• Identify irregularities and root causes; report to QP/Employer.
• Monitor rectification progress and ensure defect closure.
• Attend site meetings with staff, contractors and stakeholders.
• Document daily site activities and submit progress reports.

What the role is

Assistant Manager, Projects Management Resident Technical Officer / Land Development (Demolition & Reinstatement)

What you will be working on

Represents the Employer on construction sites. Carry out daily inspection of works at all assigned sites Monitor contractors’ work programme, daily activities, work progress, worksite safety and to ensure the timely completion of works by the contractors. Review, verify and to ensure that works are carried out in accordance to approved drawings, plans, specifications, method statements, prevailing statutory requirements etc. Identify and feedback irregularities, potential risks, non-conformances, root causes to the QP/Employer for deliberation. Monitor the progress of rectification works and ensure all defects are done satisfactorily. Attend regular meetings and inspection at site with site staffs, contractors and also stakeholders. Ensure the record of daily site activities are documented, kept in order and submit the reports to the Employer to update on the project progress regularly.

What we are looking for

• Registered Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with the Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) of the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore (ACES).
• Minimum 3 years of experiences in relevant demolition, excavation, earth works.
• Ability to travel to remote sites or have own transport.
• Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills in problem solving and adaptability for dynamic site works.
• Good written and verbal communications skills in English.
• Meticulous, performance-driven and able to work independently and multi-tasking in a large scale work site.
• Experience in civil engineering would be beneficial.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office and Autocad.
