Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a qualified candidate for a civil engineering supervisory position. The role involves supervising civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with various regulatory approvals, and providing necessary technical documentation. Candidates should possess a diploma in civil/structural discipline and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. The contract is renewable with specified working hours.

Qualifications

• Min. 3 years of experience in supervision of cut-and-cover tunnels and/or at-grade roads/viaducts.
• Valid resident technical officer certificate issued by JAC.
• Attaining LTA's Certificate of Achievement upon completion of relevant safety course.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure compliance of all civil, structural, and geotechnical building works.
• Provide technical support for contractor claims.
• Oversee supervisory duties regarding BCA approval plans and LTA requirements.

Job Description

• Take on the statutory duties of supervising the Works to comply with BCA approval plans
• Supervise all civil, structural, and geotechnical building works, including architectural works and structural elements for architectural work, plumbing, sanitary, drainage, irrigation and sewerage system, and specialist engineering works for compliance with LTA’s requirements and other authorities’ requirements
• Keep and provide technical and documentary supports required by LTA in relation to any contractor’s claims

Job Requirements

• Diploma in civil/structural discipline or National Certificate in Construction Supervision (NCCS) or equivalent accredited by JAC of IES/ACES as QSS
• Holding a valid resident technical officer certificate issued by JAC
• Min. 3 years of experience in the supervision of cut-and-cover tunnels and/or at-grade roads/viaducts
• Attaining a valid certification under the Building Construction Supervisors Safety (BCSS) Course
• Attaining LTA's Certificate of Achievement upon completion of Construction Safety Management Course for QSS
• Site Office Location: in Ang Mo Kio/Sg Seletar
• Working Hours: 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday and 8:30 am to 12:30pm, Saturday (shift works: 8:30 am to 8:30 pm for day shift and 8:30 pm to 8:30 am for night shift as and when required)
• Contract: 2 or 3 years (renewable)
