Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in Singapore is seeking a Resident Technical Officer for a Healthcare/Commercial Project. The role entails assisting the Job Manager with technical issues, ensuring work compliance with approved drawings, and supervising onsite activities. Candidates must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering, at least 5 years of relevant experience, and excellent communication skills. The position includes a temporary international assignment in China for approximately 3–4 months. Competitive salary and training opportunities are offered.

Job Description:

  • Assist Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Job Manager
  • Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Consultant team.
  • Check through construction drawings and highlight any discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure adequate safety precautions are enforced on site.
  • Resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
  • Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
  • Maintain site records.
  • Estimated commencement of work in February/March 2026.

Job Requirements:

  • ITE certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
  • Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) with valid RTO Practising Certificate
  • Minimum 5 years’ working experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
  • Preferably with experience in Hospital/Healthcare/Institution/Commercial developments.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.

This role includes a temporary international assignment in China (approximately 3–4 months) to carry out steel supervision duties. Candidates should be willing and able to travel for this period.
