Job Function: Medical

We are currently looking for a Resident Physician/ Senior Resident Physician (Endocrinology) to join the Division of Endocrinology, Department of Medicine at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital in Singapore.

The doctor will be involved but not limited to:

In-patient cover
  1. Pre round with juniors – Medical Officers (MO) and House Officers (HO)
  2. Morning round with consultant
  3. Teaching sessions to MO, HO, pharmacist and nurses
  4. Exit round with MO and HO
  5. Supervise MO and HO in doing Procedures - Lumbar puncture, knee joint aspiration, etc.
Blue letter cover
  1. Review referral cases and then discussion with in-charge consultant
Routines:
  1. Attending weekly journal club sessions
  2. Do case presentations in journal club – for peer learning review cases, interesting cases and mortality cases
  3. Attending outpatient clinics - diabetes, endocrine, osteoporosis, weight management
  4. Participate in DREAM diabetes programme
  5. Involve in writing Protocols if required
Extracurricular activities:
  1. Case report write up
  2. Research and papers
  3. Poster presentations
  4. Attend conferences
  5. Involve in hospital and volunteer activities
  6. Self-learning to update own knowledge from websites and journals

The doctor should possess:

  1. Basic medical degree registrable with SMC and preferably with post-graduate training/qualification in medicine or equivalent recognized certification e.g. MRCP (UK)
  2. Fluent in English, possess good interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
